Simon Bourne - World Decaman ChampionCongratulations to Simon Bourne, who has just been crowned World Decatriathlon Champion in Monterray, Mexico. Competing in a grueling 24 mile swim, 1120 mile cycle and 262 mile run (the equivalent to 10 marathons!) the Norfolk based athlete has entered the record books by winning the 12 day event.

The 5 ft 4in powerhouse finished in 278 hours 51 minutes and 57 seconds, beating American Kale Poland, 29, by several hours. Not only did Simon have to compete with shin splints and horrendous blisters he also had to contend with armed guards surrounding ringed the stadium as drug-gang violence raged in the city around!

We were proud to be supplying Simon with Orbana Healthy Energy throughout the course of the event. He is now on his way back home and is looking forward to getting some good earned rest!
