Robbie has taken the UK Fell Running scene by storm. He had a great start to the year when he finished 6th in the European Junior Championships, it got even better when he held off a quality field to become the youngest ever winner of the 2010 Snowdon International Race (5 mile slog to the summit and back) a run he describes as his “breakthrough result”. With such success early on in his Fell Running career, Robbie Simspon is a name you should keep an eye on.

Career Highlights:

  • Snowdon International Race Winner 2010
  • 94 competitive performances – 65 top 3 finishes
  • 10,000m – 33.31.3
  • 5k – 15.50
  • 10k – 33.23
  • 10m – 56.30

“I have been using Orbana before pretty much every race of 2010 from short trail runs to longer fell races with great effect including the European Mountain Running Championships and Snowdon Race as well as many races in Scotland. I also find it useful for before long sessions or during long runs. One great thing I like about it is, the energy release is long lasting so you feel strong in the later stages of a race when others are starting to fade. I find it very refreshing and easy to take during a run unlike some gels which can be hard to force down. I’ll continue using Orbana for my future races as I’ve had some great results from using it.”
